This past week we went to Texas, where Kyle served the second part of his mission. One of the people he taught was getting married in the temple and we were invited to go. I thought it was really funny because his fiances name was Michelle Marsh (my little sisters name :) They got married in the Houston temple, it was a small but very beautiful temple. This was Nash's first plane ride at 4 1/2 months old, he was really good and only got a little fussy because he was tired.
We also visited some families that Kyle taught on his mission which was really neat to meet them, they were such nice people. Before coming here I thought I could understand Spanish pretty good. I could understand half of the conversation when Kyle was talking with them, but I couldn't understand anything they were saying when we went to the Spanish ward on Sunday. I guess this means that I need to learn Spanish.
We went to this huge outdoor shopping center which was cool, it was SO big! I guess I found out pretty quick that Texas is a lot bigger than Utah when I saw like 4 or 5 Kroger grocery stores just in Houston. We ate some good Texas Barbeque and also some good Mexican food at the Guytan's house. The Benitez family were really fun to hang out with (that's who we went with to the outdoor shopping place). The mom also fed us TONS of fruit, Kyle was loving it! It was fun to see the people from Kyle's mission and also what the area was like.
